About Margarita Genova

Piano Lessons for New and Experienced Students, both Children and Adults.

Margarita studied piano in her native Bulgaria at the prestigious Academy of Music, Dance, and Fine Arts, where she received a Masters Degree in Piano Pedagogy and Performance.

She has performed in solo recitals and as piano soloist in orchestral concerts in Bulgaria and the USA. Her repertoire includes J. S. Bach, keyboard concerto N1 in d minor, BWV 1052 and G. Gershwin's Rhapsody in Blue. She now devotes herself to teaching.

Since coming to the United States in 1997, Margarita has successfully taught dozens of students with her combination of Old World dedication and American methods.

Margarita is an active member of the leading local, national, and international piano organizations, including:
  • ABRSM (Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music), the world’s leading music examining board.
  • MLMTA (Main Line Music Teachers Association)
  • PMTA (Pennsylvania Music Teachers Association)
  • NEMTA Competitions (North Eastern Music Teachers Association)
Margarita Genova frequently plays piano at local churches.
Her students have won major medals in competitions sponsored by these organizations, including 16 out of 16 of her participating students winning Gold Medals at the Dorothy Sutton Performance Festival at West Chester University and a finalist at the international Young Classical Virtuosos of Tomorrow competition! One of her students even won the Grand-Prix award in the Concert Festival Concerto competition in New York and performed as a soloist with the Long Island Chamber Orchestra - at age 6! Two individual performances also earned Bronze Medals and performance. In addition to competitions, Ms. Genova also offers an excellent preparation course for students auditioning in piano pedagogy/performance at music colleges and universities.

As an internationally known piano teacher at Philadelphia's premiere music conservatory remarked regarding one of Margarita's students, "This child is prepared so well, that I have nothing to correct. Who is the teacher?”

Now a proud American Citizen herself, Margarita is particularly sensitive to the goals and needs of international students and new arrivals to the USA -- in fact, she also serves as an English tutor for new arrivals from Eastern Europe.

Margarita teaches in her studio in Voorhees, NJ and convenient to Marlton, Cherry Hill, Maple Shade, Medford, Haddonfield, Moorestown, Mount Laurel, Shamong, Tabernacle, Gibbsboro, Berlin, Atco
